Sheep Hugs & Soap Suds is the culmination of my dream to own my own business and to work from home.  I raise a small flock of Shetland sheep and colorful flocks of chickens ~   Blue-laced-red Wyandottes and bantam Calico & Mille Fleur  cochins.  I sell breeding stock and other products from my woolly and fine-feathered friends.   All of my sheep and chickens (and dogs and cats!) are treated with love and respect.  They receive no hormones or antibiotics (unless absolutely necessary). The homemade items that I offer for sale are all natural and environmentally friendly.  I love spinning the wool from my beloved Shetland sheep.  I also very much enjoy dying roving, homespun yarn and kid mohair locks.  You'll find some One of a kind colors that you won't find anywhere else!

I chose to make goat milk soap because of it's superior skin-conditioning properties.  I use fresh goat milk and carefully select from the very best oils to ensure that each bar gives a rich lather, cleanses thoroughly, yet is gentle and nourishing to your skin.  For scented bars I use top quality, plant derived, essential oils.  Essential oils cost more but they don't contain alcohol (which can be drying to your skin) and the fragrance lasts longer than cheaper "fragrance oils".  Once you try a bar of my homemade goat milk soap you'll never want to go back to those (detergent!) bars that are sold in supermarkets and grocery stores.
